Job Description

  • Support sourcing managers to deliver exceptional sourcing performance through proper monitoring of market trends and compliance with professional sourcing guidelines in the implementation of all bank projects as well as providing the proper governance and control for all Bank purchases
  • Manage the supplies tendering processes within laid down procedures/policy for all deals within sourcing threshold and scope.
    · Fulfil business requests for the supply of goods and services.
  • Assist Sourcing Team in the selection of bank’s authorized suppliers
  • Help in maintaining all banks’ contracts with suppliers regularly.
  • Negotiate competitive prices and collect quotations from selected authorized suppliers.
  • Develop and implement methods of improving operational efficiency within the Sourcing function
  • Development & communication of the preferred supplier lists.
  • Obtain appropriate supplier due diligence information and maintain within Sourrcing database
  • Review and validate all Bank’s purchase orders on Amplitude Achat for completeness and compliance to Sourcing policy
  • SERVICE MANAGEMENT AND DELIVERY 40% · Respond to queries emanating from suppliers and internal customers
    Responsible for recording minutes of all meetings with internal customers and suppliers/Third parties.
  • Responsible for maintaining a Contracts register for all Sourcing contracts
  • Responsible for initiation and maintaining a first class filing system for all sourcing documents.
  • Assist in developing the necessary reports and providing information as and when required.

Job Requirements

  • Negotiation skills to sustain networking relationships
    Good commercial knowledge and skills and familiarity with sourcing and vendor management
  • Communication skills both verbal and written
  • Understanding of market dynamics and sound business judgement
  • Strong project management skills
  • Comfortable with figures and in collecting, analysing and interpreting data
  • Solid judgement with ability to make sound and educated decisions
  • Ability to manage projects and establish clear goals and accountabilities to ensure successful delivery (on time, within budget, meeting agreed upon success criteria).
