Job Description

  • As a Senior Electrical Technical Office Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the technical aspects of electrical engineering projects. Your responsibilities will include reviewing contract documents, managing shop drawings, preparing RFIs, and ensuring compliance with project standards and specifications.
  • Thoroughly review project contract documents, including time schedules, design drawings, and Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
  • Ensure a clear understanding of project requirements and specifications.
  • Update the shop drawing log with relevant information before submitting drawings to the consultant for approval.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with project design and specifications in all electrical shop drawings.
  • Identify and prepare RFIs for any missing, unclear, or conflicting technical information during construction.
  • Coordinate the resolution of technical matters with the project consultant.
  • Review shop drawings submitted by subcontractors and external vendors.
  • Coordinate the approval process with the project consultant, addressing any discrepancies or concerns.
  • Participate in resolving unexpected technical difficulties and problems that may arise during construction.
  • Report issues to the Technical Office Manager for discussion and implementation of proper solutions.
  • Prepare accurate as-built drawings at the conclusion of the project.
  • Hand over completed drawings to the project consultant for record-keeping.
  • Ensure that all work complies with project standards, industry codes, specifications, and design instructions.
  • Conduct regular checks to confirm adherence to established guidelines.
  • Prepare detailed drawings required for all electrical construction items, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines, including mechanical, structural, and architectural teams.
  • Ensure coordination and integration of electrical drawings with drawings from other disciplines.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. (Accumulative Grade must not be less than Good).
  • 4 – 7 years of experience in electrical shop drawings, preferably in a technical office environment.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
