Job Description

  • Coordinate the activities of the asset control in New Cairo and Downtown campuses with the Controller’s and the Procurement Office
  • Handle all the administrative and financial work related to the custody and movement of the equipment and furniture owned by the University
  • Ensure the policies and procedures of the property control are properly implemented
  • Perform the physically-scanned moveable assets by download and transferring data from SAP to Excel format and vice versa
  • Check/compare recorded assets against physically scanned assets
  • Audit the University departments self-inventory
  • Download relevant SAP reports on monthly basis
  • Manage discrepancies, monitor the follow up of untraceable items to get feedback
  • Produce final report to forward to Controller’s Office
  • Report any unexplained shortage to the department administrative
  • Audit the lists of the assets, supervise printing and tagging missing/incorrect tags
  • Monitor the movement both in and out of the retired assets stores, and the related disposal activities
  • Guide/advise personnel who have responsibilities over university moveable assets
  • Deal effectively with the priority pressures brought by the University departments to achieve their objectives
  • Maintain a high level of customer service by proper demands forecasting
  • Control workflow performance, including how to increase staff productivity through use of labor and space utilization standards
  • Reinforce all health, safety, and environmental standards to ensure a safe/secure work environment
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Job Requirements

  • University degree is required
  • Minimum of 2 years in of relevant experience in an educational organization
  • Knowledge of SAP asset module is an asset
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with bar coding techniques
  • Knowledge of accounting, good mathematical aptitude
  • Excellent customer service and commitment to exceptional quality, as well as very high energy levels
  • Customer oriented and diplomatic
  • Highly self-impelled and directed, with sharp attention to detail
  • Good planning, organizational and oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as to analyze data and make recommendations for proper control systems
  • Knowledge of utilizing electronic data systems and related computing business applications and concepts
