Job Description

  • participate on a strategy development to serve bank’s alternative channels, applications and database needs and determine which services IT Division is to offer as well as what capabilities need to be developed to present the best of class IT services.
  • Manage & Analyzes applications, Databases & ATM performance and recommends adjustments to a wide variety of complex systems management functions with responsibility for overall performance, capacity and availability of networks
  • Provision of technology-based information, service levels and issue resolution to the business
  • Run regular internal audits of the systems and applications to ensure optimum operation
  • Evaluate, recommend and introduce systems solutions as required
  • Software license usage tracking & compliance
  • Manage people in line with policies and best practice
  • Good understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
  • Mentor the staff and provide career development as required.
  • Technologies selection, evaluation, innovation and development that supports organization business plans.
  • Monitor and review Applications and Database technical projects including CAPEX and OPEX, staff requirements, resources, and risk; also coordinate with necessary departments to ensure smooth implementation
  • Responsible for the planning, budgeting, and delivery of applications, Databases & ATM projects.
  • Identify opportunities for the appropriate and cost-effective investment of solutions including sourcing, purchasing or in-house implementation.
  • Negotiate service level agreements with service providers and monitor service delivery to ensure the agreed targets and standards are met
  • Manages the applications, and ATM functions in support of IT services related to the operations, performance and availability across the Bank.
  • Directs the planning, administration, and problem resolution of the systems & applications.
  • Ensure applying, Implementing and managing the IT Standards and KPI’s according to “ITIL and ISO 20K” to govern IT services in order to ensure meeting service standards both within the organization and across third party service providers.
  • Ensure the availability, integrity and fit for purpose systems and applications, aligned with changing business priorities
  • Designs and implements applications, database & ATM architectures and ensure adherence with security standards and polices
  • Key responsibility for the identification and resolution of technical problems and malfunctions related to both systems and applications.
  • Manage the preparation and implementation of Policies, procedures and standards relating to systems and applications.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline
  • ITIL or ISO20K
  • Project Management
  • 10-13 years of IT Experience.
  • Wide experience in management of application systems and technical systems.
  • Working knowledge and experience of banking operations and related problems
  • Working experience with different operating systems such as but not limited to (Microsoft windows, Unix, Linux. Etc. )
